Editorial Policy
This policy explains how topics are selected, researched, written, reviewed, disclosed, corrected, and maintained by the ScoreRocks Finance Editorial Team.
Our editorial mission
ScoreRocks Finance aims to explain business credit, personal credit management, borrowing costs, and commercial funding in practical language. We focus on options, risks, terminology, documentation, and questions readers should ask before making decisions.
Authorship and editorial identity
Content may be published under the “ScoreRocks Finance Editorial Team” byline when it is developed or maintained as publication-level work. We do not attribute invented degrees, licenses, lender relationships, consulting histories, personal results, or professional experience to an author.
Topic selection
Topics are chosen according to reader usefulness, common borrowing and credit questions, gaps in existing coverage, changing programs, and the need to explain complex information. Search interest may inform planning, but articles should not exist only to repeat other websites.
Research standards
We prefer official and primary sources for laws, government programs, consumer rights, credit reporting, and public guidance. Lender or provider documentation may be used to explain product terms, but it does not replace independent context or risk disclosure.
Financial claims and examples
We do not guarantee approvals, rates, score increases, savings, or business outcomes. Examples should be labeled as illustrations and should not be presented as universal results.
Credit and debt content
Articles should distinguish general education from legal rights and individual recommendations. Topics involving disputes, collections, deadlines, bankruptcy, divorce, or identity theft should encourage verification with official sources and qualified professionals.
Digital and AI-assisted tools
Digital tools may assist with organization, language, formatting, or identifying research needs. They do not replace source checking or editorial responsibility. Fabricated sources, quotations, credentials, experiences, and case studies are not acceptable.
Commercial independence
Advertising, affiliate programs, sponsorships, free products, or partnerships must not determine factual conclusions. Material relationships should be disclosed. Advertisers do not purchase favorable rankings or guaranteed recommendations.
Images and media
Images should be original, properly licensed, used with permission, or legally available under applicable terms. Illustrative images must not be presented as evidence of an actual client, approval, transaction, or financial result.
Corrections and updates
Factual errors should be corrected promptly. Material changes may receive an editor’s note or updated date. Minor grammar and formatting changes may be made without a separate notice. See our Corrections Policy.
